Janina Gavankar A New Hope In Female Badasses Of Star Wars

Star Wars Battlefront II Trailer

5 out of 5

"I waited thirty years for this. I still remember my last orders. The day the real war began."
―Commander Iden Versio

I knew I recognized that voice and then when I saw the images play out on the trailer there was something familiar about her. I could not get it out of my head. I kept saying. I've seen her in a movie somewhere before, a TV show or something. Something about her.

Thank Google.

True Blood, she was a were wolf.

Janina Zione Gavankar is now voicing Commander Iden Versio in the upcoming game Star Wars Battlefront II. This game promises to make up for the rush job that was its predecessor. I managed two months before the trade in for store credit. For shame Disney, For Shame EA, For Shame Lucas.

But here we have a New Hope. A campaign that promises a lead role from the Imperial side of the war. The ones who ended slavery in the galaxy. The Emperor who brought true peace. I once said during a commentary of Clerks the movie. I believe when the Death Star blew up there were plenty of imperial ranking officers on R & R on party planets. Probably spending time with their mistresses living their part time double lives. To see it their main lives end in a flash. Watching in horror as their home base blew up. I believe, without any apology, that many of them lived on the Death Star with their spouses and children. But that's my version of the movie that will likely never be told. I'll create a fan fiction story soon.
Left From EA Battlefront II. Right from Janina Gavankar twitter feed

It seems that Star Wars is shifting to women and I couldn't be more excited. Now that we have a completely new take on a video game where the entire campaign is from the perspective of the Empire, I am very happy that they're also going lead female as well. To show that the Empire didn't just see diversity as just height or shoe size.

Thirty years, from the the Return of the Jedi to the Last Jedi. It seems that we're going to go on a full canon story and finally see the reason why the First Order or The Empire may have a few points to ad to the board of antagonism. Will this be the pendulum swing that brings fans to the ways of the Empire. Will this become Palpetines final revenge?

I'm also excited that the game will have a mode where we can mix and match heroes from different eras. The multiplayer and coop modes seem like it will push the envelope from any other battlefront games from the past. The fans have spoken and now it seems like we have been heard. This seems like a step in the right direction. I have plenty of faith in what I'm seeing so far. Congratulations to Janina. I can't wait to play the game and kill the rebel scum with you.

Fans Recreate The Vader Wreck Shop Scene From Rogue One

Recreating Vader At His Best

Talk about a group of hard core fans. I love the commitment from this team of rebel scum. Inside the halls of Star Wars Celebration, a group of fans were recorded and then put on the twitter account of Star Wars UK for the world to enjoy. Some believe it was a reenactment other believe these guys stole the guy in the Vader costumes ATM card. Either way, its time to WRECK SHOP!

This was a very short yet funny clip. I could hear the people all around recording and giggling as the rebels all dropped one by one to the Lord of the Sith. I'm watching this on my laptop and waiting for this guy in a Vader suit to literally use the force and lift someone off the ground. I would not have been surprised if it happened. In fact, it should have happened. If there were a time to prove that the Force is real its when a bunch of people are playing around in the hallways and stuff gets real.

Top-10 80's Action Movie Heroes

The 1980's was a great decade and especially for the action movie genre. The gun-play was endless as were the cheesy lines and it all resulted in some excellent film moments. The decade also created a slew of iconic characters, known for being over-the-top and all people could ask for in a hero. Here is my list of the ten best.

 10. Snake Plissken – Kurt Russell (Escape from New York)

Okay so “Escape from L.A.” was not very good at all but Russell was still awesome in the role of Snake Plissken. But in the 80’s he was at his best as the eye-patch wearing anti-hero in “Escape from New York.” Tasked with rescuing the president after he is stranded on a wasteland of Manhattan, Plissken’s charm never wavers. Russell as Snake Plissken was charming, confident to the point of arrogant, with just the right amount of narcissism, and resulted in all you could as for from a protagonist.
He was the first one to wear Under Armor, he made the feathered hair work and his quick wit makes him a memorable character to me. While the film may have come out early in the decade the lore of the character has resulted in a string of comic-books that provide endless amounts of adventures for the one-eyed rebel.

9. Dutch - Arnold Schwarzenegger (Predator)

1987’s Predator is still one of the great sci-fi action flicks and when you are dropping a small group of rugged commando’s in the jungle who better to lead them than Arnold Schwarzenegger as Dutch. Arnold shined in the roll as the cigar smoking, assault rifle wielding hero and delivered a few memorable one-liners along the way.
Arnold gave the character of Dutch a text-book kick ass mentality, and created a persona fitting for the team leader and despite the flashes of fear as the group clashes with the alien hunter he is relentless. Resulting in a classic game of cat-and-mouse in the dark jungles at a primal level that is my mind still goes down as one of the best all-time third-acts.

8. Ellen Ripley – Sigourney Weaver (The Alien Franchise)

Sigourney Weaver shined in the role of Ellen Ripley in the Alien Franchise and after she successfully established the character as a strong leader that wouldn’t back down in the 1979 film “Alien”. She would continue as the character, turning her into a full-fledged action hero in the 1986 sequel.
“Aliens” was an impressive sci-fi action flick and Weaver as Ripley was equally as impressive behind the firepower. She embodied the hero role and went toe-to-toe with the deadly alien, showing her fear but at the same time her bravery that in my opinion would go on to solidify her as a great character from the decade and she did it with style in some bad ass Reebok Alien Stompers.

7. RoboCop – Peter Weller (RoboCop)

Easily one of the iconic characters of the 80’s Robocop was a massive financial success, that spawned a film-franchise, a reboot, endless amounts of toys, comics, a TV show, and even a cartoon series. The first Robocop film was one of the darkest, purely violent films I remember seeing at an age I certainly shouldn’t have been seeing it. Despite the violence, and the fact that at times this was a horror movie to me as a kid. Robocop was a classic film hero.
With such a dark tone to the first two films, the heroics of Robocop saving a dystopian Detroit on the verge of ruins. Crime was taking over, and Robocop wasn’t having it. He was quick with his pistol, mercilessly took down waves of disgusting criminals and still had time to deliver some classic lines like… and how could we forget…

6. Marion ‘Cobra’ Cobretti – Sylvester Stallone (Cobra)

This character may not be one of the most well-known on the list, but any fan of action movies in the 880’s would have to appreciate Sylvester Stallone as the tough as balls detective for the Zombie Squad Marion Cobra Cobretti. Sure, the character was as stereotypical as could be, with the tight jeans, boots and aviator glasses who chewed on a matchstick, but Stallone thrived in the role and made it a memorable one.
He takes down an army of psychos on his own in a film filled with endless gun-play and Stallone never looked less than 100%. The character was cocky, skilled and relentless in his job and Marion Cobretti makes the film “Cobra” one of the all-time great 80s’ action flicks. Plus, he never short of a few memorable lines as well as he fought off an axe wielding cult lead by the serial-killer the Nightstalker… I mean, need I say more…

5. Axel Foley – Eddie Murphy (The Beverly Hills Cop Franchise)

Certainly, not the most intimidating character on the list, but Eddie Murphy as detective Axel Foley is iconic. He was hilarious, wildly unpredictable, and Murphy captured it all with ease. He was able to perfectly blend comedy and action and it made the character one of the more memorable from the decade.
Like no other character on the list Axel Foley was just a normal guy. He wasn’t loaded with muscles and didn’t give off the empowering presence of your traditional protagonist, and that was what made him so great. He was smart, and no matter the trouble ahead his personality always shined. He never backed down from a gun-fight, was skilled in his work and all the while he gave off the impression off dicking off, he was really solving the case.

4. Indiana Jones – Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones Franchise)

He may be the oldest on the list but the character of Indiana Jones is still one of the greatest. Harrison Ford was excellent in the role and delivered all we could as for in the classic character. His adventures were wildly enjoyable and with his charisma and normal-guy personality. He was amusing when needed, and despite the outrageous perils he faced he never lost his charm.
Indiana Jones will always be remembered for his satchel, hat, and bull-whip but to me he will also be remembered for his never-give-up personality. Unlike many heroes, things didn’t always look easy for Indiana Jones, the dangers he faced at times looked impossible to get out of, yet he always managed to do so and to me the character will always be one of the greats.

3. John McClane – Bruce Willis (The Die Hard Franchise)

The king of being in the wrong place at the wrong time John McClane is one of my all-time favorite characters and watching him take down Hans Gruber and his henchmen without shoes will never get old. McClane to me is the most charismatic of the characters on this list, he exuded the stereotypical action heroes and his delivery of classic one liners will go down in action movie history.
McClane was smooth, charming and never backed down from anyone. Whether he was jumping off a building with a fire-hose tied around his waist or ejecting himself from an exploding plane, McClane found himself in many life or death scenarios that never fail to entertain. Regardless of his joyful gun-play, and rugged determination to me it was his personality that make him the memorable character he was. Despite the dangers he faces and no matter how many men he it outnumbered by McClane can always lighten the mood with his charm.

2. John Rambo – Sylvester Stallone (The Rambo Franchise)

This list wouldn’t be complete without an entry from Sylvester Stallone and he comes in with a great character in the war torn veteran John Rambo. From his performance in “First Blood” through “Rambo 3” Stallone was always the very capable but reluctant hero. Rambo was the deepest of the characters on the list, he was mentally scarred from his time in war and no matter how much he tried to seek solitude violence would always find him.
Also like no other on the list Rambo was a true one man army and with his trademark knife and bow, explosions were plentiful as was the gunfights. Rambo could take punishment like no other and when all seemed doomed for him he would always find a way to come out alive and successful in whatever mission was forced upon him. Stallone shined in the role and with his performance as the character he created a hero to stand shoulder to shoulder with his other famous role of boxer Rocky Balboa.

1. Martin Riggs – Mel Gibson (The Lethal Weapon Franchise)

It was tough to narrow it down to a solid number one but in the end, it had to be that of detective Martin Riggs. He was a normal guy, but as close to an overblown film hero as John McClane. The Lethal Weapon films are classic films and a large part of that is due to the performance of Gibson in this role. The chemistry between he and Glover carried the films, along but none were complete without Riggs completely raging out.
He wasn’t perfect, had tons of flaws, and was a definite wildcard, but when the odds were against him Riggs never backed down, or showed intimidation. He could make light of any situation, he always had a joke to tell, but did so without any true catchphrases, which made him a common, grounded character people could relate to. And he is my favorite character from the decade in action movies.

Rough Night Red Band Trailer REACTION

A male stripper ends up dead at a Miami beach house during a bachelorette party weekend. This film was directed by Lucia Aniello & the writers are Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs. It stars Scarlett Johansson, Zoë Kravitz & Kate McKinnon.

The official trailer from Sony/Columbia is here below.
My reaction and first time seeing anything on this film was from the Red Band Trailer just released today. I'm not to excited about this story. Its been said and done too many times in comedies. I'm surprised how redundant the plot is but I'm curious to see how it comes out from the women's prospective. Its nice to see that a gang of females can be just as dumb collectively as a gang of guys in these crazy scenarios. I'm not going to run for this in the theaters but if we get invited by way of Advance Screening we'll be sure to give you a full review.

I stand by my thought that Scarlett looks to be the weakest link comedicly in this trailer. But this is just the trailer. We don't know if she'll carry this movie and turn out to be funnier than the entire group. I doubt it because her comedy is more about sarcastic looks, throwing shade a little bit. I've seen the rest of the team give flat out killer comedic performances. Scarlett would be wise to stay in a lane of being the level headed but worried leader of the team. Unless she's all about breaking down completely from the stress. That would be funny to see but again, its been done.

I'm afraid this will be a throw back to Very Bad Things (1998) staring Christian Slater. I have a feeling I'll be watching that film for upcoming reviews and shorts for the YouTube channel. I have a Top ten idea. Click the picture to the left to rent Very Bad Things.  After I watch Rough Night, I'll make sure not to compare to closely and let the film stand on its own which we should always do. That being said not much from this trailer made me laugh only a few things made me giggle a tad.

La La Land Becomes The Atlanta Falcons Of The Academy

The opening seemed to be well received with the performance by Justine Timberlake. A lot of people thought that La La Land would be the song that opened the show but Justin's music for the movie trolls seemed to be a breath of fresh air and got the energy ready for the jokes by the host Jimmy Kimbel who went right after his enemy Matt Damon.

Then the first Oscar goes to

Mahershala Ali. Just like Jeremy Johns, I had not seen Moonlight but if his performance was anything like it was in the Netflix series Luke Cage then he definitely deserves it. "It's not about you its about the character." Well said. I love the fact that when he won the award as he stood up, button his coat and headed to the stage he received a pat on the back and kept walking then instantly he stops. He looks back because he realizes who it may have been. He turns around and sees that it was Jeff Bridges, also nominated in the same category, and extends his hand out of respect and Shakes Jeff Bridges hand before continuing on to the stage to give a great speech .

After the commercial break we come to the first shocker of the night, Suicide Squad wins. Yes it was for Makeup & Hairstyling, an award I may have given to Star Trek 3 but I do see it to be deserved. No complaints but nothing for La La Land. Best Costume Design was taken by Fantastic Beast and Where to Find them, a movie that I did not have the energy to pay a ticket for. I just can not see why we're moving forward with Harry Potter without Harry.

When O.J.: Made In America took best Documentary Feature, no one in the audience knew if clapping was allowed. I'm here to say it is. Because it honors the victims of the crime and the people who's lives were also destroyed because of that infamous event. The creator, Ezra Edelman and Caroleine Waterlow are to be honored as well.

And the Oscar goes to Viola Davis, Actress in a Supporting Role for Fences. Ironically also of Suicide Squad. In all seriousness, the gratitude and appreciation of what she's achieved. This moment was almost as great as seeing Meryle Streep eating candy that fell from the sky thanks to Jimmy Kimmel.

A lot of people have stated that if Emma Watson did not received the Oscar for her performance in la-la land that she probably would never receive an Oscar because this was the performance of her life. Others wanted Meryl Streep to win because they wanted her and Donald Trump to get into it again. This category was stacked but I believe that if Emma Watson wanted then lala land has earned a ticket purchase for me because I'm definitely curious to see what this movie brings as far as the performance from these two stars . Ryan Gosling also nominated for best actor beat out by Casey Affleck who gave a speech honoring Denzel Washington.

Sean believes that he is going to rub it in Ben Affleck's face that he has an Oscar for acting now . Something that his brother does not have even though Ben has more Oscars. Either way it goes Ben Affleck will look Casey in the face and say but I'm Batman .

Breaking news, best picture was announced for La La Land. Then after beginning their speech, it was then stated on stage that the real winner was Moonlight. It had to be repeated that it was not a joke. The embarrassment could be felt hardheartedly by everyone involved. The cast of Moonlight slowly walk up the stage as the dishearten team of La La Land were rushed off the stage. The commotion behind the scenes must have been a tornado of expletives as the producers scrambled to get the real winners on stage. I feel bad for Jimmy Kimmel. He had an almost perfect night. The delivery of his hosting was memorable and funny as hell, it was all overshadowed by the craziest twist in Oscar history. Never before has this ever happened.

Get Out Movie Review (Spoiler Bullets)

Get Out: Starring Daniel Kaluuya and Allison Williams. From the mind of Jordan Peele

We just saw the advanced screening of get out by Jordan Peele, the master of comedy . I got to say that movie was amazing and i love it. It was just like it was more of a mystery than horror. Also a psychological mind  thriller.

"guys we're going to do some spoilers so real quick, if you don't want to see spoilers, stop reading."

I  went thinking . . .I know what's gonna happen. I  was like "it's that guy, no its that woman, all of a sudden were all right. It was all those guys.

I think I think everybody did a great job at first I thought the

The father played by Bradley Whitford the guy from Revenge of the Nerds , you may remember him from the TV show The West Wing . I love that dude but I thought it was the actor from the TV show Family Ties when I saw the trailer. He came off like one of those guys who no he welcomes and accept anybody no matter what color they are but they're still some form of insecurity that pushes him and his friends too go over the top with trying to convince white people and people of color that he is accepting of everybody. Saying things like I would have voted for Obama on a third term was just not necessary when you're meeting your daughters black boyfriend for the first time. It makes it very awkward for black men and women and it's embarrassing for yourself . I've never understood why people have to go out of their way to make the audience comfortable with you , just be yourself . you do not have to try so hard to either pretend to be something you're not or enhance what you see as the good qualities and yourself to be accepted because both situations is just you perpetrating a fraud.

The thing I love about this movie is that it came off as a crazy mystery . it also gave a M Night Shyamalan type of field especially towards the end . not just because it was a Twist but because the twist was almost always in your face . that could be a matter for a race relations if you think about it LOL. The Twist is always right there in your face . Think about it.

There was a lot of funny scenes more than I thought they would be Lil Rel howery was  a breath of fresh air throughout the movie. Every time he into the scene it was as if an audience member was being transported from the moment that everyone was already aware of and our feelings and thoughts were being expressed in real-time through that character that he played . he really captured and peel captured in the writing a lot of unique things that black people think to themselves especially when they're in a crowd of white people that are going out of their way to be inclusive. It's a very tense and in some situations horrifying situation for some period it's specially some black introverts . being shy is one thing but capturing sinus, being flung into an awkward situation when it comes to race relations and interracial relationships all the while everyone is around you trying to prove how non-racist they are is in itself a very heavy and tense moment. Because even though you're trying to show this person you're not racist comma you're still asking him questions or speaking to him in a manner that you would never bring up at all to a white person period And I believe that was captured very well.

After the big reveal the movie still move forward as if it was going to give you the cliche horror movie don't do. That's some characters are forced because of bad writing period like going up the stairs instead of out of the front door , allowing the villain to convince you that they still care for you until they try to kill you again. And each and every time the rule was set up and broken up. I love that about this film .

A lot of the things that can build it on their TV show on Comedy Central made sense looking back. They did a lot of mockery of horror movies or Hollywood in general in the show. The production value was very well set up and you can now see looking back at those clips and skits that Jordan Peele probably had his hands and a lot of the development. I think both Key & Peele are going to go two places in Hollywood that no one's ever gone before let alone black comedians.

One of the things that was brought up during the video interview was the idea that if Jordan Peele was able to get his hands on an actor at the quality of a Denzel Washington what would that look like . I would love to see something like that happen . I think Jordan Peele has proven that he is a man that can surprise you . as long as we're giving them the freedom to let his imagination take the wheel.

I'm not surprised dad blumhouse is the producer of another hit horror film. I want to reach out to Clark wolf from collider nightmares and spoke to her about the movie Whiplash and why that movie was able to push the same buttons that I would feel pressed and watching a horror. Without hesitation she tweeted back to me and enlighten me that it it's probably because it was produced by blumhouse. Blumhouse is becoming the staple, standard-bearer, the line that's drawn in the sand of how to create great horror movies. Everything that was done in the movie was on purpose. Jordan Peele spoke on interview saying that he snuck a lot of Clues throughout the movie that replace themselves upon the reveal that works great if you we watch the film. Something I intend to do repeatedly period

Go see this movie repeatedly. I believe that it will be better the second time I see it. Knowing how it ends and going through the journey and the tension again will be something I look forward to. The same can also be said about M Night shyamalan's film split. Knowing what you do know about that moving makes the experience a little greater. But just because you do know the endings gifts for the warnings allow your friends to judge for themselves if they want to be spoiled don't just assume. A lot of great movies are out there below hopefully there is some links to see them while they're still in theaters I will update once approval is set. If not you'll just see links to some great films that you can see on Blu-ray through Amazon.

John Wick Chapter 2: Expanding The John Wick Universe & Movie Review

Just to get it out of the way, this will be a heavily spoiled appetizer of an article. If you're the kind of poor unfortunate soul who will be boohooing relentlessly about being spoiled stop reading and go take a nap. This is where the big boys are playing. Okay, now that we've gotten the legal stuff out of the way, lets talk about this movie.

We've Got Something in Common

Image result for common john wick 2Cassian, body guard to Gianna D'Antonio who tries to avenge her death after John Wick is forced to kill her. There is a familiar will and focus that he has. Here's where I become a little bit of a conspiracy theorist . I believe that this character will be back for the third movie. But Cassian will eventually become an ally, the fact that he was almost able to best John was very interesting. Where he was out for Revenge, John's vengeance was probably just a little more pure.

At the end of the day the movie is a call John Wick so I didn't expect Cassian to the defeat John in his own movie; not in the middle of the second act. But the level of respect, that you could see clearly in John's eyes for this guy, he knew that it wasn't going to be an easy take down . The fact that they were both a car's link away from each other and couldn't shoot each other point blank was evidence that this man this somebody who could best John Toe to Toe. At one moment I didn't know how they were going to find a way to end it without killing each other.

They respect the rules of the Continental and watching that play out with them laying down their arms and having a drink with each other was hilarious, frightening, captivating and very intense . A lot was being said without any dialogue at all . We're not talking about a Batman/Joker situation this is closer to a Superman/Batman or Batman/Nightwing pairing. The way I see it with the whole world coming against John Wick for the third movie Commons character and definitely be a key asset and keeping John alive, if not just so he could get the chance to finish what he started in chapter 2 and kill him in the end. It would be interesting to see a full Trilogy of John Wick turn into another set of trilogies before Cassian.

I mean we would never see it coming.

The John and Jimmy connection

I love the fact that in both movies Officer Jimmy comes to John's house after it goes down one way or the other . Dead bodies everywhere, house burns down, doesn't matter it's always the same question . Jimmy walks up to John looks around and says and I quote "you working?"

Image result for thomas sadoskiSometimes John gives an answer sometimes he doesn't but either way it goes John knows answers yes by his silence. And this movie Jimmy knows that John is definitely working his response to that fact is hilarious. I don't see how a cop who knows that these assassins are out there could play a bigger part but I would like to see it happen in a third chapter.

This collection of people who either come from this world or are aware of it all have a particular background that could be very beneficial to a person like John especially in this situation that he finds himself in by the end of the film. You never go to war without allies . officer Jimmy can come in handy and deliver some dry with subtle humor that fits in perfectly with the tone of this movie . nothing to slapstick where the lovable cop is just the goofball. maybe he does come from that world and he's just playing it down and being a cop is just a cover . That would explain why he knows so much and still alive .

How good to see you again so soon

Image result for john wick continental front deskCharon is a good man, dog lover, very subtle very professional. I can't help but think this guy could probably beat John Wick easily . have you ever seen those old kung fu movies where all hell's breaking loose everybody's Kung Fu Fighting. But you always see that one guy in the background who hasn't done anything yet. Homer Simpson even had a moment that pointed that out on one episode of The Simpsons. "Marge, we can't leave the fight yet that one guy hasn't done anything yet, look at him, hes about to do something, you know it's going to be good . The moment he turns around you could hear that the person he was waiting to do something did something amazing and Homer missed it.

You might see the same thing happen or not happen in chapter 3. there's something mysterious about this guy, he could be the one who ends John Wicks road . He Could be the one to save him. if I was to predict anything I would say that this guy's obvious the runner-up to become management at the New York Chapter Continental . but he could be one of these guys who likes to be the underboss. Hand of the King instead of the king. Something tells me that the only way Winston's going to be able to get John out of this miss that he's found himself in it's by becoming management . I put my money on Charon and Winston somehow coming together with the aid of all of John's friends to do some kind of sacrificial gesture that makes John Wick untouchable . if he becomes management Maybe that should be a rule .

Either with John Wicks death or with him transition into management you could launch a new set of movies for comments character to take over the franchise for the next 3 years with John Wick making small appearances . then maybe another group of Assassins in the same order . till one final Avengers style ending where they all come together for one final fight. But who knows how this could end. The next one could very well be the last one. I hope not . these movies make money so it only makes sense to keep it going. Fast and the furious doesn't seem like it's going to hold on for too long . maybe John Wick will fill that void until the inevitable crossover.

Image result for john wick manager of the continental

Something like a phenomenon in this movie . management Winston doesn't seem to fear anyone he's protected not just by League of Assassins but by his ethics, his honor , the code, the rules . it doesn't seem that John Wick fears Winston , it's just that John knows that Winston is one man that can definitely finish the job . maybe all managers are capable of this no matter how much will or pure Force you have as a killer. Winston seems like a father figure 2 John Wick telling him to abide by the rules, to remember the code, never let your emotions get the better of you. Almost like a Obi-Wan Kenobi type or maybe a Palpatine , that's probably more fitting . but unlike Palpatine Wentz and doesn't seem to want to take anything from John. But he sincerely wants to help him . he may be the cause of John's latest Problem by the end of the movie but I also believe that in chapter 3 whether it's the last chapter or not Winston will be the one to come through in the clutch and possibly save John's life yet again.

Is probably fitting that John always wears a black suit, if you always bet on black Winston seems to cash out every time they alter against John. I'm sure even in the situation that he's been forced to put John in there's something else going on behind the scenes that we aren't even aware of . Possibly that the writers haven't even thought of yet . I'm excited to see exactly what Winston I'm surprised it again in chapter 3.
