The Call 2: Starring CM Punk - WWE Studios

Would CM Punk Return to WWE Studios Before The WWE Universe?

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a huge WWE fan. I've been apart of the WWE Universe since birth. My mother, believe it or not, is the main reason why. I've watched almost every Monday Night Raw, Pay Per View and Smackdown. When WWE Studios launched I was pleasantly surprised on how it started out. See No Evil to me was a pretty good slasher film. Every other movie that came afterwards was not so great. Mostly the ones starting John Cena. It seems that since they've geared their attention to other WWE Superstars to see if they can capture that Hulk Hogan "No Holds Bar" magic. Pun intended, I use to love that movie, but lets be serious it was horrible. But something interesting has been happening as of late.

WWE Studios has been trying to become a more respected film studio by putting out some quality stories. The problem so far has been direction but every now and then they'll produce something quite special. My first and to this day my main example was The Call. Getting Halle Berry was a great accomplishment for the studio. I'm not too surprised because Ms. Berry's career has been on a tad of a roller coaster and obviously WWE got her on a dip.

The interesting thing about The Call is that when I saw it, it didn't stay in the theme of a "typical WWE film". If you were to tell me that The Call was produced by Warner Brothers, New Line, Columbia, etc. I would have believed you. The Call was just a all around, except for the very last scene, a great and suspenseful movie. It was a great ride, it had me on the edge of my seat, Halle Berry reminded me that she is an Oscar caliber actress. I was pleasantly pleased with every ones performances and found myself wanting more.

Here comes the part where you say, "But wait, [SPOILER ALERT] they killed the villain at the end". Now we're moving into my great idea and I challenge you all to say it not be the right move for the studio that is WWE.

I believe that if there were a sequel to The Call, you wouldn't even need Halle Berry. But if you want to have the same magic you got in the first one lets say for the sake of argument that she came back. First off, you couldn't have her in that chair in the majority of the movie this time. I see it as Halle Berry's character is about to end a shift, she gets a call to dispatch about an emergency. Maybe the girl who was kidnapped in the first one played by Abigail Breslin is killed in the beginning of the movie and it shakes up Halle Berry to the core and she cant continue with her day and needs some time off.

She takes said vacation and starts getting strange calls from a weird guy who knows all about her and is threatening to kill everyone she loves and then her. You could set up a plot that Morris Chestnuts character gets taken and that its all up the Berry to save him. But my campaign for the role of the villain is CM Punk. Either as a relative of the first villain played by Michael Eklund or a partner in crime out for revenge. CM Punk has a lot of "The Rock" quality charisma on the screen. He could be a huge star in his own right. Give him some quality acting schooling and I bet Punk would be a great fit for action and even some solid comedy films.
Now of course, I'm speaking as a fan, I love CM Punk, I believe he is the best in the world. So I am bias for everything Punk. I don't know if he's ever considered going into acting but if he were to take a role like this I'd be all for it. I've even written a book called Raven: The Hidden where I envisioned one of the main aantagonistas CM Punk. I don't know why I need him to be a villian, he seems like a great and likable guy. I met him briefly in Balad Iraq when the WWE visited the troops over seas. Dont' believe me, see the pick I took of the man who would soon become the best in the world. I worked there for over five years and meeting those guys is always a cool thing.

So Mr. Punk, if you're reading this and I know that you're not. I don't know if you and Vince are on speaking terms. But one of your conditions of your return to the ring should be to star in The Call 2. Not just to be a villain who gets it in the end. but one of convinced that he's doing the right thing by killing people, bringing dept and conviction to the character. I want to see a CM Punk full of pain, just like when he dropped his first pipe bomb on the WWE.

That's my thoughts, what are yours?

Star Wars Episode VII: The Secrets of Leaks, Spoilers & Juicy Rumors

Sweaty nerds of the galaxy are you ready for more secrets regarding the latest edition of your Holy Trilogy that will make you Wookie in your pants?

We don't need to tell you again that speculation has been swirling around the internets pumping your blood clean of any of those stupid midichlorian. Stories like Lupita Nyong'o being born to play Asajj Ventress. Well as the story goes her fresh cut has been getting lower and lower to a bald fade. As we all know, this Academy Award Winner has been signed on and probably duel sabor trailing with Hamill (Luke Skywalker) Thursday's to Tuesday. Nyong'o brings a beauty to this Galaxy far far away that only would be enhanced with heavy make up and a chance to go rogue by playing one of the most ruthless Sith's since Maul. You'll defiantly want to keep refreshing imdb to see when the rumors turn to pure unadulterated fact or maybe another character who could just as well be a Jedi who may have a slight resemblance to Ventress only because the woman who's playing her just so happens to be a similar body type, coincidentally speaking. Or she could be Ventress, who knows. Keep clicking refresh.
Harrison Ford demands that Hon Solo dies. Everyone feels that this is inevitable either from a Milenium Falcon crash landing, the son of Greedo seeks revenge or the beef between Chewie and Han gets real. There have been many storie
s that suggest that the lovable but deadly Chewbaca once got drunk at that bar that plays the same music over and over again. On the 1,988th replay of the hit single Chewie built up the courage to tell Leia how he really feels, grabbing her inappropriately and causing the Princess to channel suppressed Force powers pushing the Wookie across the bar. J.J. Abram's is still considering the Greedo angle.

Moving on to the big new of the new direction that is J.J. Abrams, its been posted some where on the internet, that J.J. has become obsess with Mark Hamill. Once the YouTube video of him resisting Star Wars dialogue as told by The Joker, Abrams rewrote the script so that Hamill will now have to give the performance of a Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, who is more powerful and just as wise as Obi Wan Kenobi but who speaks like the Clown Prince of Crime. Some people say that would be a good thing. No really people have said that.

Listen, I'm sure by now you've figured out where this little story is going. None of what I've written, especially in the last few paragraphs are anywhere near the truth. We at T.T.T.M. are not in the rumor business. I'll not join the ranks of crazies who just want to put out any nonsense rumor just to get a click. I'm a John Campea Guy. Yes, I'll fan fiction write, and I'll ask the "What If's" and sometimes I'll be right 98% of the time but only the 1% of it will go into print and even then you'll always know that I'm just, say it with me SPECULATING. I won't ever pass off rumors. If I want to have a little fun playing the what if game I will but lets try to relax as fans.

We're too involved in these worlds to the point where we're killing the romance in the theater by diluting the magic by dissecting every piece of leaked footage that comes our way. "What's that? A door that says Gotham Bank? What does this mean about the upcoming movies?" Well it means that at some point of the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, there will be a scene with a bank in it. Either in the background or maybe Wayne or Luther will go check their safety deposit box to go roll around in Kryptonite found months after the events in Man of Steel. Or maybe their debit card will get stolen and Bruce or Lex might have to ask for a replacement. I don't know but I bet they won't have to wait long for the new card to come in the mail. You see what I did there? I just made some stuff up that could be in the movie or might not be but we'll find out soon enough. Who care about the rumors. The stuff that get released officially are way better and the cameras are shaky. Let all find the patients to let the people make their movie and hope it won't suck and that Gadot knocks it out the park. If it does suck and its all her fault I'll release the hounds.

Back to Star Wars, lets let the nice Jedi and Sith get back to business and make sure we wipe away the bad smell of Jar Jar and get this party started right. Okay guys? We're here at the bar! Play that same song.

Deadpool Movie Confirmed: Ryan Renolds? Kinda Sorta

Today will be a day that will have all comic book geeks going ape (bleep). Deadpool Lives! After the leaked footage of Deadpool was sent to the Youtubes Fox has officially set a date for a Deadpool movie coming to theaters in 2016.

I'm thinking that because of all the great support from fans that Fox may even go even further into cool mode by making the merc have a Rated R mouth. I mean its the only way it can go and work well. Even if you don't go hard R the sound of bleeps are so funny that it would work with Deadpool breaking the fourth wall, looking at the audience and complaining about censorship to the fans while the movie is playing.

There's so many questions. Will Hugh Jackman make another cameo? Will Deadpool call out the mistakes made to him on the Wolverine Origins movie? Will there be blood or bleeps? Its too much for me to handle right now. I think the character is awesome. I think Fox should stop playing around pretending that they're not going to back a dump truck of Benjamin to Reynolds to play the role, if for nothing, for just being 100% right about everything about this character.

Its time that we take comic book movie making to the next level and I see 20th Century Fox trying to pioneer the revolution. The only other concerns are how it officially effects upcoming Fox comic book adaptations that have yet to be born. What will this mean for an X-Force movie? Though we don't know the answers yet, I have a great feeling that this could be to Fox what Guardians of the Galaxy was for Marvel. With tons more ninja fights and limbs being lopped off of course.

Go Merc and everyone tweet Ryan a thank you message. I know I will.

Trailer Review: This Is Where I Leave You on Adam Driver

After seeing this trailer I believe this is the kind of role that will warm me up to Adam Driver a little more. I wasn't a big fan of his when I first saw him on Girls. It was hard to like him. After a few more episodes that peeled the onion of his character I came to see it was a compliment of his talent as an actor. Getting to know more of what he's about I'm convinced he's the best actor on the show. The direction he's going he'll be able to steel scenes from the best of them.

I'll see this movie because I love the casting. Tina Fey is always awesome and hasn't let me down yet. Feels like This Is Where I Leave You is going to have a ton of great moments in the dialogue and the cemestry is aparent even on the trailer. I'm curious to see what the back and forth with Jason Batemen will be like.

Over all this trailer has caught my eye and I'll be seeing it soon after release. I won't promise in the theaters but if not, I will defiantly be Netflixing the heck out of this movie.

Can't wait to see what Adam can bring to the Star Wars franchise. Keep up the good work.

Through The Trailer: John Wick Movie Trailer Review

I've yet to see 47 Ronin, yet, so I wasn't too thrilled about a new Keanu movie because it seems that his ability to carry a film was falling apart. But man o man when I say "This trailer is freaking awesome!" You better believe that like you're a WWE Fan that believed in The Shield. The moment when John Wick, played by Keanu leaves his garage in a bad ass muscle car driving like a mad man just to give a cute puppy beagle a thrill, it had my attention.

Moving on to him being hounded by the creepy dude who calls himself reek in Game of Thrones to then being attacked in his own home by the same guy who goes and kills the mans dog. I knew that this trailer was special when the dog died. Usually in these action movies where the mysterious loaner, who just wants to be left alone is accosted, its usually for his wife/girlfriend or he's a single dad and his daughter is taken. No, John Wick dares to take revenge to a whole new level and say "The wife was already dead and the last gift she gave me, the dog, was now killed? I began talking to my lap top telling the bad guys "Oh no, you gotta die now."

You have Ian McShane telling Keanus character not to even dip a pinky back into the town he has to take his vengeance he'll get pulled back into something bad. You got John Leguizamo who gets the car that was jacked by creepy dude, who instantly recognizes it and he doesn't like what they've done. Then the father of creepy, Alfie Allen, tells him. "Its not what you've done". Obviously because they come from a crime family and stealing is like bringing home an A+ from school. "Its who you did it too". This line is the dead give away that Keanu is not to be messed with. This guy who was just car jacked is not just a nobody, but a nobody who would tear up his own house by sledge hammering his cement floor to free his stock pile of guns berried beneath.

If you're a bad guy who pissed off another dude and the second guy was so much worse that he has to keep his guns hidden, not in a lock box with a combo, but in freaking cement, DUDE, what ever you did apologize now because it ain't ending well for you sir.

The whole "Yeah I'm thinking I'm back" line was so perfect. Its like, if you loved me kicking ass in the matrix you'll love this. Keanu looks like "The One and Only" again and John Wick looks like its going to be a pretty good film.

Can't wait to see it so we can start talking about it. Outstanding Trailer!

Should Megan Fox Go Nude To Be In A Comic Book Movie?

THE LUNA BROTHERS: GIRLS MOVIE

This story was awesome. If you haven't had the pleasure of reading Girls by The Luna Brothers, get over to your nearest comic book store and read, read, read read. The are work by Johnathan Luna is pitch perfect for the tone of the story and the dialogue by Joshua Luna captures the reader as the story builds. I remember the first time read it the characters seemed to be simple and the towns folk were just simpletons but once the people of  Pennystone (population 65) become trapped by an invisible force field and are flooded with beautiful alien female clones that only want to have sex with the men and kill all the women, things ain't so simple no mo'.

I'll admit, when I read the synopsis I was just thinking, clone hot chicks? Awesome! But this situation becomes a total nightmare. Not just for the women in the town who have to fear for their lives but also men who have to learn to deal with the consequences of living a life of lust and fantasy that comes with a gruesome price. The need to feel wanted and desired by these clones becomes more than some men can resist to the point where some are willing to take great measures to keep this fantasy life alive.

I became horrified that a tv show called Under The Dome based on a book had been produced. I love Stephen Kings work but I feel that Girls would have been a better way to go based on the two different plot lines. With UTD already out now my dreams of having The Luna Brothers make a movie based on this master piece of a story is long gone. Maybe. I'll start a partition.

What if it still could happen? Now you might think I'm crazy but I believe if a movie based on this comic were to be produced then the alien clones should be played by Megan Fox. This is the role she was born to play. The aliens are sexy, tough, and mute. Its perfect. A lot of people say that Megan Fox can not act. I'll admit she's not the best actor in the world but there is talent there. I'm not making a joke that her playing a mute sex symbol would improve her acting, okay maybe I was, but its all in fun. I believe that she has the ability to pull this character off. There's a mesmerizing depth there that I felt a glimmer of when I saw Megan in Jennifer's Body. A movie that Ms. Fox gets a bad rap for. I thought it was pretty funny.

The reason I like the villain of the Girl book is because she is also a victim of her nature. These clones are born within hour of conception. The weird thing is they are hatched out of giant eggs that the pregnant clone lays. The problem with all these men having all this free sexy time with these aliens is an over population of the rapidly producing and reproducing clones. You get a few thousand of these naked ladies in a metropolitan after that bubble pops and game over.

This story needs to be told and if Megan Fox isn't at least in the discussions you're missing out on a great opportunity. That's just my quick thought on this subject no one is talking about but at least I hope I've peeked your interest to buy the Girls book volumes from Image Comics. You naughty guys.

My short list for people to play the lovely ladies of this comic book are the following not in any particular order:
Megan Fox (Just to see a bunch of clone Megans attack and succefuly kill a bear! . . . read this book!)
Zoe Saldana (making Marvel money now, she'd never go nude)
Michelle Monaghan (great actress, would bring class to this misunderstood character)
Emmy Rossum (if showtime has touch us anything, its there's no shame in her game)
Lizzy Caplan (The wild card)

Could Warner Bros. Master Plan Be A CRISIS Movie, Not Just The League?

Lets play the speculation game and possibly create a little fan fiction. We all know that DC is known for using Multiple Universes (Multiverse) to allow different version of characters and their receptive story lines to coexist
and sometimes these worlds crossover but what if there is a master mind behind scenes of Warner Brothers that is creating the same thing in the movie versions of these stories? I'm not suggesting that DC starts creating different versions of Batman and Superman, at least not yet. Take a look at what is going on with New Line Cinema since the merger with Warner Brothers in March 2008. The company maintains separate development, production, marketing, distribution and business affairs operations, but coordinates those functions with Warner Bros. to maximize film performance and operating efficiencies. But Warner Brothers are no fools. Learning from Marvel, it makes no sense to just give a property away, especially when Warner Bros. are beginning a fresh start with a new direction of an expanded universe with the coming of Batman V Superman. Why then would they let New Line get the rights to produce a popular DC character movie, Shazam?

Lets Talk about the facts, the DCU says that a Crisis is an event with potentially great consequences, often involving multiple universes and sometimes even threatening their existence. I like the fact that more companies are involved. It frees Warner Bros. up and allows them to focus on their main ideas while other characters that may not be a part of that main plan gets some legs and runs with their own movies as well. Over all this can only help DC Movies, if done right. I recently asked John Campea of AMC Movie News on You Tube if he thought Warner Bros. would keep the option open for Shazam to join Justice League, this was his reaction (link seen above).
I know that we've don't need expanded universes and movies have done great without them but Avengers did awesome because of it and we know that with Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Batman joining the screen with Superman the proof is in the putting that Warner Brothers want to be in the expanded universe game. With an electrifying talent such as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson signed up to be Black Adam, it seems like such a missed opportunity to put him up toe to toe with Henry Cavill. The thought of the poster alone is enough to make me buy the ticket five years in advance.
I believe that a logical move for DC/Warner Brothers is to allow New Lines Shazam movie to be a separate universe. That Shazam should not meet Superman or any of the other JLA in his movie since they don't exist there. After we get a Wonder Woman movie or Flash, then a sequel to Man of Steel to lead into a Batman film we'll probably get a Justice League if all goes well. Do we bring Shazam in now? No dumb dumb, he doesn't exist in Warner Brothers DC universe, I just said that like two sentences ago. Jeez! I believe DC should take the page out of Marvels book and go with the first, second, third phases and so on. But if you have two or three films that lead into a Justice League and if Shazam isn't coming to the Justice League then when?
There in lies the Crisis. I believe that Warner’s plans is to go through three or four phases or however long it take for it to be the right amount of time when these films movies are ready for a reboot/renew (X-Men: Days of Future Past style) and get shaken up with a Crisis Movie. This should indicate either a new phase or at least create a rift that helps us flow into the a new set of phases as some characters are replaces with new actors or if no one is leaving anytime soon justify why a darn dimensional portal just opened up in Metropolis and out comes a new, confused hero, who has to go one on one with the great one, Superman after narrowly beating (only because he's the hero "technically" the other Great One, The Rock, I mean Black Adam.

Shazam and Black Adam, along with other characters that can contribute to the story and find their way to a parallel universe where they can finally run into Superman and other super powered beings just like them.
Different companies under Warner Brothers mirroring the different dimensions and Earth 1,2 3, etc that DC comics are famous for can now be hit with a Infinite Crisis movie that hits the reset button/reboot button on all the franchises the way DC does in the comic books and links these different characters only for 2 to 3 hours for our nerdy entertainment. I suggest this to give a cool spin on the reboot that allows the movie itself call out the fact that its being rebooted or renewed that way fans can better deal with the transitions, if some characters won't be coming back or will be replaced by new actors. This way Warner Bros. can be like "Nolan’s Batman was in another world closed off from these Earths but here’s an idea, maybe after Justice League 3 when we hit you with the first Crisis movie and open up these portals, maybe you'll see Ben Affleck’s Batman going up against his counter Batman played by Bale".
Okay that may never happen since Bale said he's done, but what if fans always got an Infinite Crisis Movie to give the alternative or distorted versions of the DC Characters they believed they should have gotten?
I don't want to see an evil version of a hero or a good version of a villain. It makes me uncomfortable to root for a Joker that is a good guy. What if instead of Batman fighting off another Caped Crusader he fights a different Wayne that would have been a member of his family had things been different. You open up these portals and out flies Owlman played by Armie Hammer ! . . . DID I JUST BLOW YOUR MIND!!!!? (dripping sweat).

I like the idea of alternative universes and different dimensions versus just another alien attack. We've done that to death and DC already has too many aliens as is. Getting the play book from Marvel for a good direction is one thing but the plot is another. Justice League shouldn't be another Avengers. If Warner Bros. uses Darkseid, and I'm sure they would if they get that far, the comparisons to Thanos will be never ending. But having Darkseid from another universe could begin the whole chain reaction or even he could be the master mind behind all of the Crisis situations with his ultimate plan being to concur all realities not just ours putting all different universes great heroes and god like warriors against each other while he secretly takes control. Hense your Black Adam getting magic punched by Shazam ending the movie and Black Adam waking up in Metropolis.

Bobbybillybillbob from Google+ says "Give us the Alternate Earth, Crime Syndicate Starring Brandon Routh as Ultraman, George Clooney as Owlman, Ryan Reynolds as Power Ring, Linda Carter as Superwoman (Basically evil Wonder Woman role :P) Grant Gustin as Johnny Quick and Alan Ritchson (Smallville Aquaman) as Sea King! hahaha"

SuperShanko from Google+ states "I'm pretty much up for anyone if it fits the joke of anyone connected to the former character. Like getting Mark Strong to play the parallel Luthor or that potential WW actress for Superwoman. All the fun of a movie while shutting up the fans that complained. Win-Win for everyone"
I'm going to assume he was thinking of Gina Carano. My personal favorite for Wonder Woman would be Olivia Wilde.

Should Castle Rock Entertainment make a Lobo movie or a Green Lantern Corp with John Stewart having a crisis find a way to getting a ring to a new Hal
Jordan on the Warner Brothers side? Should CW's Green Arrow be considered Earth 2 already? I know crossing the streams didn't both well with the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.D. but Green Arrow just as another Earth would fit give everyone a little taste of what they want. I want your feedback. Add this idea. Let me know what characters should play these alternative versions of our DC heroes? Comment on this blog and/or on the Talking Through The Movies Facebook page.
(Wiping sweat from forehead)
