2036 Origins Unknown Review & Comments

I watched Collider with Kristian Harloff interviewing Katie Sackhoff talking about their time as a couple, now as friends. When I saw her on the trailer of Origin Unknown that was the first thing that hit me was, I still haven't finished that interview.

After watching the Terminator, the one thing that hits me is that old saying, "There's no fate, but what we make". I bring that up because this movie made me think about artificial intelligence and the rise of the machines.

2036 Origin Unknown/Film synopsis

Following a deadly crash on Mars, Mackenzie Wilson launches a mission find out what went wrong. But when her ship's artificial intelligence takes control, they discover a sinister object on the surface of the red planet.

This movie makes us ask that question, do we put too much faith in these machine. Think about, if we make contact with beings from outer space, unless we're dealing with immortals we're not going to meet the actual beings we're going to meet their drones or probes or satellites. They will send their machines, as we do. We always send off the remote control car before the man. so is the next step of human evolution whatever we give to our machines?

So downloading everything that is human into a sentient machine. Is that the next level. This subject is still theorized and talked about. Is AI the enemy, are they our savior's or the cause of our deaths, this movie says the answer to both questions is Yes. This is the way for humans to live forever. The only way we'll meet other beings in the universe. Destroy the planet to save the planet. The destruction of ourselves to save our saves.

I was expecting this movie to show the alien, but they never do.  This movie made me think of Contact staring Jodi Foster as well. Alien was a no show, cop out. I give it up to Arrival, at least they had the guts. Then this movie does the same thing, saying that machines and humans are the same things "What Is Alive" all this stuff comes from the same universe. We're always putting ourselves inside of and merging with machines.

This movie kept me so clueless, I felt like it was time jumping as if it was a simulations. . This movie came out in June and I'm just now getting around it. and I'm getting a lot of comments from people who are really split on this movie. Already over 700 views and 20 comments. I'll share them with you and let you keep the conversation going.

More Spoilers by the way

BTW for answers - Mac died and ARTE recreated her for the purpose of traveling to unknown origin to meet the alien species that sent the Cube. He not only re created her with android tech . He enhanced her using magnetic pulse Technology from the alien cube . It apparenty took him a long time to re create her as he tells her this. He intimates that he took the best of "human " archetypes to re create her as well . He noticed that her and many others shared his quest for knowledge etc that many others of the species lacked and he clearly used this as a guide .. Therefore in the end the enhanced human that was Mac had all the best qualities of humans without the "fragile" make up and travelled with ARTE the AI to meet those from the galaxy that sent the Hyperlingk Cube. ..A deep plot ,and well acted . The martian shots really covered the bleakness of alien landscapes

Had to find some other other opinions about this movie. I watched about 15 minutes and fell asleep. I then watched another 15 minutes and couldn’t take it anymore. Very dull movie. 😴

Joseph Nichols

I love Katie Sackhoff. She is aging well but this movie was not good. I felt like the movie was originally twice as long, but half of it was left out. I could not really follow what was happening. It was trying to be 2001, but it just did not work out. When it was over, I was thinking, "WTF did I just watch?"

Bob Belson

The movie was great!!! It was too deep for you. Like a 2001 space odyssey movie It will become well liked over time and more popular as well.

Mistakes Every Gamer/Single Parent Makes

I've been playing Xbox Live, mostly COD with my clan for years. Before my 3 kids were born. My oldest is now 8. Ever since me and their mother divorced, I've made the same mistake that I swore I wouldn't. I've tried to game the way I use to do in my early years. Even before the divorce and baby number 2 gaming all night was going out of the window due to increasing responsibilities at work and my body telling me, "You're Not In Your Twenties Anymore". Every now and then one of the guys will scream out the old battle cry. . ."TILL SIX IN THE MORNING". This was a nod to an old R. Kelly song and something we use to do a lot. Ummm, gaming not that other thing he did.

You see, back then, it was nothing. We'd be on a winning streak, 32 rounds won in a row on my birthday is still the current record we've never broken. All hopped up on red bull and twinkies. It became so important we had to have little games within the game to stay on edge. If we won a round, who ever had 20 or more kills we would call that "Twanky" if the 3 or more of us on the squad had reached Twanky kills, we would call that Hostess since we were stocking up like the factory. We then had to eat a twinkie. We later shortened it to Host Twank. That began to become a problem the day we won 32 rounds in a row. There were a lot of sick soldiers that day. But still, we killed noobs till 6 in the morning.

Its now Christmas vacation in 2018 and the new game that we're addicted to is Players Unknown's Battleground or PUBG for short. Its impossible to win that many matches in a row since we're in a lobby with up to 100 players trying to kill you but we love this game. We haven't gone till 6 in the morning in years but 3 in the morning has become the new target. Last night, I made it to the milestone. We had fun. We all also had work in the morning. I am a Real Estate broker, so is another member and one guy works on boats. Even though I did not physically have to go to any homes or meet clients, I was in between a few deals that needed my attention online or on the phone. My fiancee was pulling a double so from 9 in the morning when I attempted to sleep past till 1 in the afternoon I was all alone. Even with her help, I try not to put off my responsibilities. I'm their father and they need to know I'm there for them.

Oh, i forgot to mention, I also do movie reviews and i thought it to be a brilliant idea to finish watching the new movie on Netflix, Bird Box staring Sandra Bullock (who is so damn fine) and record my review on my youtube channel T3Medias (please subscribe). That had me up past 4 a.m.

38 years old, I tried to keep the room as dark as possible so that the kids would still think it night time. First mistakes. My oldest wanted to watch cartoons, I let him. My other two joined him and watched the tv and me sleep. When I know they are all up, my instincts take over and sleep, no matter how tired, is impossible. I'm too much of a paranoid person to let them roam around. Being a single dad is more about staying out of trouble and gloating when your ex messes up. I don't know when I finished breakfast and I felt the pain of bad eating move from my feet to my brain the whole day. The juice was not worth the squeeze at this very moment but when I was in the moment earlier it felt good.

Your ability to give your kids the attention and patience they deserve is limited even more in this state. I constantly had to keep my emotions in check.I just gave love advise to a friend of mine who's dating a single dad who also loves his gaming. She doesn't understand it. From what I could tell, he puts gaming to high up on and too close on the priority board next to his children. That's not good for anyone.

Eat right, stay fight and sleep. When my gamer pals are done for the night we shout out "I'm Calling It" say Good Games and log off. Don't wait till you have a few bad rounds to call it a night, when your body has had enough, you may be able to push through but if you are a single parent or a parent in a marraige about to watch the kids by yourself in the morning, give up the ghost.

But who the hell are we kidding, we both know you're not going to listen. ONE MORE ROUND!

Bird Box Is The Happening Done Right & Blindness (2008) Movie Done Wrong | Short Review

My overall impression of this film was that it reminded me too much of things I've seen before. Blindness and The Happening. I hate it when a build up of what the monster looks like is never fulfilled and overall it just felt like an amalgon of stories told repeatedly before. It's still a decent film and I recommend a view. Don't expect more than what you've seen before. The majority of what I felt about this film is on my youtube channel. Click Above to see my full review.

Plot:
When a mysterious force decimates the population, only one thing is certain -- if you see it, you die. The survivors must now avoid coming face to face with an entity that takes the form of their worst fears. Searching for hope and a new beginning, a woman and her children embark on a dangerous journey through the woods and down a river to find the one place that may offer sanctuary. To make it, they'll have to cover their eyes from the evil that chases them -- and complete the trip blindfolded.

Second Act Movie Review

Representing this blog and my channel on YouTube I was able to attend a press screening of Second Act starring Jennifer Lopez. I went in with no expectations and left having a great time in the movie theater. I legit broke out into laughter a bunch of times, this movie was well written and directed. I appreciated the fact that it was within the vein of a romcom but was breaking the campiness of those types of movies.

I had a great experience with actors such as Leah Remini, Alan Aisenberg and especially Charlyne Yi. This was the glue that made sure this film really worked and worked well. They were the funniest and most interesting characters in the film. The dynamic between Vanessa Hudgens and Jlo was also well received and the overall premise of the film came together very well in the end to lead to a feel good experience.

I recommend seeing it and hope you will enjoy this movie.

How does Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse compare to the other movies

I had a real good time with this movie and can I believe how well together it was place before me. I was lost in this universe and kept on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. The one and only Spider-Man, play by Jake Johnson, who came to the Miles Morales, shameik Moore, universe to assist him in his quest on taking the mantle to me was the funniest Spider-Man ever to be portrayed on film. In comparison to Tobey Maguire and all of the other renditions of Spider-Man this by far was the most mature and immature and somehow realistic Spider-Man 2 of ever has spun a web on the big screen.

The dynamic between all of the Spider-Man in this heavily dramatic and colorful world was just as lively as the exaggerated backgrounds and computer effects that were flashing before me. I watch this film in standard-definition but could see a ton of uses of blurry effects in the foreground and background that made me jealous that I did not watch this in 3D. I will have to see this movie again in 3D to see how it compares and if there is a difference stay tuned for an update.

Over all this was one of the best Spider-Man movies I've ever seen and we are living in an age where if you are a Spiderman fan you are having the time of your life with all of the cartoons and films being brought to us by marvel, Disney and Sony pictures. The story itself was very deep and dark and gave honor to the original tell of Peter Parker and his Uncle Ben with the background story of Morales vs his uncle. Difference being that unlike Uncle Ben, the prowler was a complicated villain doing what he needed to do to get by and met his end when he realized cool his nephew really was. This Friday more heavier tone and twist to the origin story of a Spider-Man.
If you're not a Spiderman fan or if you're not a Miles Morales fan to be exact this probably could bring you closer to becoming one. If you were just okay with Morales this will make you a fan. It gave no disrespect to Peter Parker and it clearly told us that Miles Morales lives in a different reality which should hopefully calm down the non-real Fanboys who don't know how comic book universes work that seemed to only have had a problem with Miles Morales because they could not stand the idea of Peter Parker turning into a black guy. Miles Morales is half Puerto Rican half black. That's right if you're Puerto Rican you're probably going to say he's Puerto Rican if you're black you're probably going to say he's black. Where I come from you're all right. He brings a lot to the table on helping kids that look just like him feel like they too can become something like I Spiderman. Spider-Gwen also does this for little girls.

Oh yeah and Nicolas Cage totally crushed Spider-Man noir. I mean when you see what happens with that Rubik's cube you will not forget it.

Spoiler alert stay all the way to the end. I don't know if it's a call to a new movie, a possible sequel, let's just say that you might get a chance to party like it's 2099.

Go check out Spiderman into the spider-verse in my opinion it's the best animation movie that has ever come out in the history of ever in the year 2018. I just saw a wreck it Ralph but I had a blast with this movie. It is clearly the best animation of the year and I for one would put my name in the hat of other nominations maybe not best movie of the year but screenplay, original story, sound, effects, direction. This film screams oscar-worthy. It is the superior animated movie of 2018 and it will be a long time probably before another one does with this one did. Disney is definitely taking notes and kicking themselves for not pushing the envelope the way Sony just did it. The stakes have been raised this is a pure comic book movie even more so than the Avengers probably was. It felt like a comic book brought to life it was a comic book brought to life.

You can follow me on all social media at T3Medias become a subscriber on our YouTube channel. This is been a Christopher Fagan block production. So next time guys, peace.

Escape Room, Trapped Me In Suspense

Transcript

I'm gonna give my review - I just saw a
00:10
scape room okay escape room is a
00:14
thriller horror upcoming film is coming
00:17
January the 4th as you can see right
00:21
here is directed by Adam Roberto you
00:24
might know him from insidious and else
00:28
was blinking right now let's see 2014
00:33
you did the Taking of Debra Logan
00:36
director and a writer on that one he was
00:38
a writer on and said Paranormal Activity
00:40
the ghost dimension and he was a
00:43
director on it city is the last key and
00:44
now he's doing escape room escape room
00:50
had a very nice nice well put together
00:53
cast let's start off with the meeting
00:55
start off with the main actress here we
00:58
have right here on the poster the lovely
01:01
lovely to Russell it also starred
01:03
Deborah Ann you might know from come on
01:07
everybody come on Netflix baby Netflix
01:10
daredevil and we have Logan Miller Nick
01:15
dodona jae ellis survivors remorse
01:19
I think what's a call survivors remorse
01:22
I think that's what it was called I
01:24
think they even did a little little nod
01:26
to that show on on this one as well
01:28
Tyler Labine very funny man and that's
01:33
the that the main room dwellers in this
01:39
film the people that are trapped now
01:41
escape roma is obviously a movie based
01:44
on the the real escape rooms that you
01:46
can pay you can actually pay people to
01:49
put you in these mystery rooms where you
01:51
saw brittle sulfur have to find the
01:53
clues solve these puzzles to escape out
01:57
of a room and then just like it's
01:59
explained in this movie if you don't
02:02
solve the riddles if you don't do it in
02:04
a certain amount of time then the person
02:05
comes out and explains everything she
02:07
miss that look that you were too busy
02:09
arguing over to figure out what was
02:11
going on and pointed out at all in
02:13
so the key was under this you know book
02:16
the whole time all you have to do was
02:18
read just like he told you to do it
02:20
makes you feel stupid right but there's
02:22
a little twist there was a twist
02:24
as always in these thriller horror
02:27
action movies these rooms are so ready
02:32
to kill you so it was like it's like
02:34
Saul meets like final distant final
02:38
destination and it's it was very final
02:41
destination it's because it had a lot to
02:43
do with destiny and fate look and then
02:50
out at the same time it reminded me a
02:52
lot of Saul cuz obviously trapped in a
02:54
room you're in the side of the the
02:56
puzzle master of the game masters little
02:58
game but unlike unlike jigsaw from the
03:04
Saw franchise just like one of his
03:08
protege rigged up I think it was in the
03:10
third movie what was the problem with
03:11
their movie the villain in the third
03:13
movie even even though she was the
03:16
protege it was awesome she rigged the
03:19
the challenges of the puzzles where you
03:21
could not win them and I mean and you
03:26
know I don't want to give too many give
03:27
spoilers and whatnot but you know these
03:29
escape rooms they're designed for you to
03:32
solve the mystery and get out question
03:35
is this what if because of who you are
03:38
because of your past the connection of
03:43
everybody that's in the room with you
03:45
and there's always something like that
03:47
in these types of movies right you
03:48
always have a situation where you have
03:50
people trapped in those room and there's
03:53
something in common that you all have
03:55
and you all have to bring this to the
03:58
table and bring your past out of your
04:00
skills or whatever the situation is for
04:02
us all to survive together now when that
04:07
started to make itself obvious I was
04:09
like ah come on this is a ripoff of Saul
04:10
but the twist on that was that yeah they
04:16
how they all had something in common but
04:18
at the same time there was still no
04:20
connection only one sliver of a
04:23
connection but these people don't know
04:26
each other they they
04:27
their past never didn't intermingle it
04:32
was more chance than anything but at the
04:33
same time the sliver connection that
04:37
they had with each other was the whole
04:39
movie it's what made this very unique
04:41
and very fascinating compared to a saw
04:45
what always happens in those Saw movies
04:48
right now you all have something in
04:49
common yeah you're you are you gave it
04:54
up you've given up on life or where
04:56
you've always leave you've lived your
04:58
life as if no one else matters now you
05:02
will have to discover whether or not you
05:04
matter and if you can solve this mystery
05:06
everything oh man Ellison like that
05:09
right but you don't even really figure
05:12
out the connection until the very very
05:15
end and then that little sliver of a
05:18
connection it can either in your mind it
05:20
can mean nothing really you know in the
05:22
grand scheme of things compared to
05:24
everything is going on in the universe
05:25
or everything that was what was so
05:29
unique about this once the puzzle really
05:32
unfolded and why these people were
05:34
chosen it made the difference another
05:37
thing that I liked about this movie was
05:39
the fact that it wasn't a situation
05:41
where you wake up in the room and all of
05:42
a sudden like what's going on people
05:43
fighting each other because you
05:44
instantly you're already in the
05:46
situation you're doubted that's what
05:48
makes all unique because you're already
05:49
dialed up at the very beginning a moment
05:52
you wake up and you're in your trap and
05:54
then you figure out what's kind of
05:56
what's going on you don't know what's
05:57
going on oh my god we're trapped though
05:59
it's it's it's I've heard of this and
06:01
let's figure it out but you're you're
06:03
you're already geared to fight against
06:05
each other and then later on you have
06:07
your dick and the crew and the
06:10
smartypants of the crew and the tough
06:12
guy and the crew and all these all of a
06:13
sudden if they bump heads then maybe
06:17
they learn to get it work together or
06:19
maybe they you know work against each
06:21
other and they all fit you know whatever
06:22
right but in this one
06:24
everybody gets casually walks in hey you
06:26
know it's a game it's plain or you
06:34
ignoring you and then the geek I love
06:36
the faculty that they called out Nick
06:40
doe Donnie's character being the geek
06:42
like it look dude stop stop with the
06:44
chivalry dude you're not getting laid
06:46
after this that was one of the best
06:48
lines of the movie sorry about the
06:49
spoiler right there but everybody worked
06:54
together and from from the get-go
06:56
because they knew they had to that I
06:58
mean that's the point of these puzzles
07:01
like these escape rooms but once they
07:03
realize that dude this is real and these
07:06
we're gonna die and it was ever as you
07:14
go from one thing to the next you you
07:17
get the feeling that if they just work
07:19
together they can survive this thing
07:23
it's like nope okay every man for
07:30
himself
07:30
nope okay all the pretty people can go
07:35
through this no only smart people this
07:38
nope okay what's going on your the whole
07:42
time you're still in that such a way
07:43
what is going on
07:44
is it the survival of the fittest nope
07:46
is it is it the smartest one's gonna get
07:48
out of it nope what kind of yes
07:50
technically because you gotta figure out
07:51
the puzzles right working together as a
07:54
team that's all that's you know kumbaya
07:55
are we gonna come by out this thing and
07:57
get out of this alive nope it's a it's a
08:02
it's a riddle wrapped in an enigma
08:03
wrapped in a riddle trapped in a box of
08:07
horror I mean it's like it's just like
08:10
being inside of that little cube or that
08:12
that sphere from Hellraiser I guess this
08:14
guy it's gotta be what's going on in
08:16
there that's what it feels like I was
08:21
not surprised that Adam or Roberto was a
08:24
part of the insidious it every every
08:30
moment that when it got intense when it
08:34
starts to when it start to really get
08:36
aggressive and really get tense it
08:39
wasn't just a zero to a hundred miles an
08:41
hour situation
08:43
temperature rose that intensity it rose
08:46
it got bigger and bigger and built you
08:48
bigger you can feel your heart your
08:49
heart your resting heart rate was coming
08:51
from 50 to 60 to 70 he just when you got
08:54
there you got your little key to your
09:00
comfort eating it's okay perfect I like
09:10
the way this franchise started off it
09:14
reminded me of the first saw it reminded
09:17
me of the first in cities it reminded me
09:19
of how these other franchises started
09:21
and not to give away anything maybe I'll
09:24
do a spoiler over spoilers when the
09:27
movie comes out but without saying too
09:33
much it leaves itself open for a sequel
09:38
yes of course most of these movies do
09:40
especially if you got a writer like with
09:42
the caliber of Adam Roberts he'll that
09:44
you know I like I went with my
09:48
stepdaughter and she's like oh you got
09:54
to do a part two well let's see it's got
09:57
to do good in the theater there's a
09:58
reason why it's coming out in January I
10:00
mean it's testing the water we're in a
10:02
small theater well it's not that many
10:03
people here and testing this the
10:05
screening this but it was good it was
10:10
good I had a great time with this movie
10:14
I'll get into what I thought about the
10:16
ending if there's any criticism of it I
10:21
felt like the way they write they kind
10:25
of dragged the ending a little too much
10:27
it kind of you're opening the door at
10:28
the same time you're closing it at the
10:30
same time I can't explain that right now
10:32
I'll talk about that later come back to
10:34
hit the subscribe button hit the like
10:35
button
10:36
give me your comments all the people
10:37
that saw it don't spoil it for anybody
10:38
else contact me directly tell me what
10:41
you thought about that if you saw if you
10:42
pre-screened this movie but if you're
10:44
watching this after the movies already
10:47
come out it's been like a couple of
10:48
weeks let's talk about this ending
10:51
should there be a sequel to this yes
10:54
could there be no possibly
10:57
maybe all the pens on how other people
10:59
hey this might be the blockbuster of
11:01
2019 when this comes out or my flop I'm
11:06
hoping for good things on it I love
11:08
Debra and I love what what Jay Ellis he
11:11
did a real good job in this movie you're
11:14
thinking this guy I mean people that
11:16
attractive and that good at what they do
11:20
I should hate on him all the time right
11:22
you you you are threat sir I would never
11:25
invite you into my house cuz I like you
11:27
know being in my relationship and you
11:29
are a threat you did a great job and any
11:37
time I see Deborah in in the cast I'm
11:39
all you've already got my interest right
11:41
there I love what she brings to the
11:44
table she is a vet and I wish nothing
11:48
but good things for her especially after
11:50
now that we don't have her Ian's not
11:52
daredevil good luck in your career
11:54
I hope the Marvel Cinematic Universe
11:58
recognizes what they have with you and I
12:00
wish you all the best
12:02
Taylor Russell now at first I didn't
12:04
know what to think about you on this one
12:05
man I'm not to form a listen me look you
12:08
up really fast you look familiar to me
12:10
let me see what else I've seen you in
12:12
real fast obviously pretty face right
12:21
not just a pretty face very good actress
12:25
coming up in a new movie she's working
12:28
on right now called waves she was in
12:31
lost in space I think this is the is
12:33
that the one that was the Netflix I got
12:34
it I haven't seen that one yet ball and
12:44
skies Emily recurring role five episodes
12:47
I remember I remember you I got a look
12:51
at those those episodes up again but I
12:53
do remember you
12:54
strange empower pants on fire that's
12:59
pretty much it that's it's kind of what
13:03
I remember you for but I think I do
13:04
remember you from from falling skies I
13:09
have to look that up again I like what I
13:18
saw from your character the very
13:19
beginning of course they are the
13:21
evolution that we see throughout to the
13:23
end was necessary I don't know
13:29
oh the jury's out on how I feel about
13:31
how it ended but I like that I like the
13:38
the character at certain points and it
13:42
was and everybody had a chance to shine
13:45
in this one I mean you have right here
13:46
on the under poster you have a Taylor
13:49
Russell as the your main character but
13:53
each and every person had their moments
13:55
and at that time to shine and brought
13:57
something unique and interesting to the
13:59
table as long as they were on camera or
14:02
as little as they were on camera they
14:04
all had an impact and I loved I love
14:06
this group I love this group you put you
14:09
put the right combination two people
14:11
together and I loved it I had a great
14:13
great time with it and you will too and
14:16
you should go see it I'm recommending
14:19
I'm recommending this movie what do I
14:22
give what kind of writing do I give I
14:23
don't know let's say let's say out of
14:24
five right give us out at three I'm
14:31
gonna give it a solid race hard it's
14:33
hard to come after be original it
14:37
especially coming after things like saw
14:39
you get you're gonna get compared to saw
14:40
you're gonna get compared to movies like
14:44
the final destination and things like
14:46
that especially with that ending oh my
14:49
god but despite that escape boom stands
14:54
on its own it is very unique and there
14:59
is a lot going on with this kind of like
15:03
the purge there was a chance that I got
15:07
I don't think they're in the same studio
15:09
there's a chance that there was a
15:10
connection with all these things you got
15:12
the purge you've got you got saw if you
15:15
want you want to expand the universe you
15:17
want to crossover characters there you
15:19
go man
15:19
I mean there's some things happen here
15:22
man a lot of things I can't explain it
15:24
right now but after you finished
15:26
watching this movie tell me what you
15:28
guys thought about it I'd love to get
15:30
your thoughts on it hit the subscribe
15:31
button hit the like but let me know what
15:32
you thought about my review it was that
15:34
vague enough that I spoil the whole
15:35
movie for you did I do a good job with
15:37
this look I had a great time with this
15:40
movie I think you will too
15:43
that's my opinion that's that's my
15:46
opinion it's my two cents whatever is
15:49
worth hit the like button hit the
15:52
subscribe button tell me what you guys
15:54
