Will Wonder Woman Become The Face Of The DCEU If Batman Goes?

So far so good.

People are wondering about Gal Gadot. Will she make the brand proud? No one really knows. I can say she was one of the great things about Batman Vs Superman. I can say she seems to be taking this extremely seriously. I look at the trailers and now I'm starting to believe that this could be the film that turns everything around. It appears that Warner Brothers is attempting a reset button. The direction that the DCEU attempted was moving too fast, flying too high. Getting that close to the sun had to make it getting the negative feed back from films like Suicide Squad and BVS that much more hotter.

The news around the block is that Affleck will probably depart the roll of Batman. A lot of buzz going towards a possible Flashpoint motion after the Justice League film. Maybe the only thing that will change is Batman, a reset of when his parents met, were born, had Bruce, were shot, etc. Making him a little younger, a little taller, a whole other person. Army Hammer.

If Wonder Woman fails, I see Justice League as a means to an end. If it succeeds, which think it will it will bring new life. Life in female lead actions, life in Warners, life in the DCEU. Now that we have a Batgirl film on the horizon, Birds of Prey and a possible Batman movie. What does it all mean for a sequel to Suicide Squad or Man of Steel? Everything.

With a successful Wonder Woman, you can't reboot. Superman has a sequel as well and the feelings may be mixed but the knock on Henry Cavil is that he's an utterly bad Superman. He stays, Harley Quinn stays, Aquaman looks like it will rock so he's probably safe too. But what would a reboot without a reboot do. There would be a link to the first group of films and a push to go in a direction of success.

Who goes? Maybe a new Flash, Batman even though he will always be, I mean he is the cash cow. Ben Afflecks vision not being the vision of the new direction is a shame, I still would like to see it. More than that I'd like to see him go on with the character. That being said, I'd rather a new run of good films, that a continuum of questionable ones. Even though its really not fair, All film is subjective. But profits aren't. The other irony, the movies are making money. But the critic responses are still having an affect. There's no really logic.

My vote is for Wonder Woman to crush. Take us in the direction of a new stream of great movies for the DCEU. This may be that we lose Batfleck but he has played the role in more films thatn anyone else. May not as long as Bale but still more films. Wonder Woman has a chance to take the second place spot as the favorite DC movie character. It may still be Superman but seriously its starting to become Harley Quinn. Heath Ledger may be gone but Joker is starting to slip in the ratings of fan favorite, in film. Keeping with the theme of heroes, its still Bat in the lead, Superman in second. Wonder Woman can make it too that second spot for sure. Even though Batman doesn't have his own movie yet, his scenes in Batman VS Superman were so epic he instantly became the quintessential Batman from now on. Its going to be some tough shoes to fill. But as far as I can tell, Gal may be the woman who can do it.

What are your thoughts reader? Can Gal become the face that runs the DCEU place? Or is second place good enough because the Batman is just too strong?
