3 Billion Box Office: How Spider-man Far From Home Will Boost Endgame Like Endgame Did For Cpt Marvel

They say "The bigger they are, the harder they fall". Avatar and Titanic were two of James Cameron's heaviest hitters for the box office. For two decades Titanic has held the top two positions for twenty years. When Avatar took the top spot it was by an amount unimaginable. Seemed untouchable until the MCU took shape. 

Here is the real reason Avatar became vulnerable. 

The power of the Avatar franchise was in danger with every delay of its sequel. The year Avatar came out all the kids were dressed up as characters from the movie for Halloween. The following year, the number of costumes declined dramatically. The year following, it was none existent. Then came the fist announcement of the fist delay of Avatar 2. Since then we were blessed with our first Avengers film, Man of Steel and rise in horror. How was it handled by the man? We were given yet another delay. Why James, Why? Well, he tells us that the technology isn't here yet. Avatar two will take place primarily underwater. Maybe we're getting a new race of Na'vi. The more time that goes by the shorter my memory gets. To be honest I lose more interest in the film over all. Its not that I don't believe that his vision needs to come to life the way Cameron wants it too, its just that I feel that the delay is not as necessary as he believes it is. 

Its his franchise though so I put it in the hands of the genius himself. If he were to ask me, I'd tell him that a whole generation of kids have been born and are being taken to the theaters to see films that have not even seen Avatar yet. Since Iron-man, Marvel Studios have been consistent in bringing quality films to life on time and on schedule. The fan base is strong, its loyal and is growing. The stories build and connect. With every cinematic universe film that comes out is another missed opportunity. 

George Lucas new technology was not where it was needed to be to make episode one so we got episode four with a great story and the rest is history. Maybe if James stuck with his timeline the technology would not have been where he wanted it to be but Avatar 2 coming off of part one would have made over a billion probably two billion short of guaranteed with the power of momentum and a great story behind it. If by the third film or even the fourth film the technology was not exactly where he wanted it to be, it would be there eventually. Probably by the fourth or fifth installment we finally got where we wanted to be technologically wise it would have made an epic finale. Just like with what happened with Endgame. 

Now we're not expected to see Avatar 2 till 2021. I'm putting my money on 2022 which means I'l be pushing my 50's by the time this franchise ends. I was in my 20's when it began. Now the world of movie goers and Marvel film fans have begun to assemble to make Avengers Endgame the number one box office film of all time. I was skeptical until AMC theaters started to show films round the clock. This countered the theory that the movie was too long to beat Avatar. It made Endgame have the biggest opening weekend in history. An accomplishment that probably will never be matched or beaten. 

The road to 3 billion was my hope. I would still hold on to this hope until the third weekend. Endgame has only been out, at this point, for three weeks and beginning the fourth weekend and has started to lose steam. I said, that if the movie hits 2.5 billion before the end of May it was a lock for the top stop and 3 billion. I mean, movies tend to stay in theaters for four or more months on average but we are headed to the summer and the majority of average fans and fanatics have already seen it multiple times. The number of people who have not seen it and plan too is shrinking. Another Two hundred million world wide before the end of its run seems likely, 3 Billion target does not.

The Captain Marvel Miracle

Here is where the hunt for a 3 billion dollar box open is still viable. By the time Endgame came around, captain Marvel survived the trolls and hit over a billion dollars in the box office. When Endgame had its monster debut Captain Marvel came from out of the top five back to second place. Why is this, marathon mode my friends. People will go the movies to see the previous marvel film just before the next in order to add to the experience. I believe this will happen again with Spider-Man Far From Home. People who have seen Endgame will defiantly see it again just before they see spider-man. The only questions will Endgame surpass Avatar before or after Spider-Man is released. 

If Avengers Endgame catches Avatar before the end of May or by the middle of June, the chances of reaching 3 billion dollars becomes extremely realistic. Overall, if Avengers needs Spider-man to catch Avatar it will probably not reach the goal. If it doesn't the goal for 3 billion is very possible and I will be pulling for it. I want to see the movie in 3D. I've already seen it in Dolby and IMAX.

Captain Marvel Weekend Was So Loud It's Beating Up The Block & Knocking Pictures Off The Wall

Energy flows where attention goes.
Boy, did the trolls or as I call them, Hater Skrulls, failed miserably and are on total hush mouth. They say that there is no such thing as bad press. This is not true in the age of social media but for the sake of a Marvel Studios mega hit we're seeing a magical result. From the very beginning of the campaign to ruin Brie Larson's name. To the hit job placed on the Captain Marvel movie to say that it will not be any good and even if it is it will be boycotted for a comment Brie Larson made. I believe that all of the negativity against this film backfired and caused more of an uproar. If the campaign never happened. Captain Marvel probably would have had a extremely smaller opening. It  was basically free advertisement. That or Disney paid all of the trolls money to generate more buzz. Mystery solved. Mecharandom42 is a paid agent of Disney at this point. Whether you like it or not, sites like hers did the work to get this money over the top.

All of the Hater Skrulls who said they would protest and boycott the movie and not see it obviously lied at an astronomical amount. I said it on my YouTube channel multiple times over, all of them lied. The ones who bragged that they were going to pirate the film at home, they were going to do it anyways. These people are not real movie goers. Unless they're on a date or seeing a film from an actor who they love and will never bother to go inter the twitter history to then hate. The Haters will only work for their own agenda. Now that bubble has popped and as the numbers came pouring in on the success of the film it simultaneously so has the silence on its hate campaign and the same is beginning to be said about the Shazam film which is also getting great reviews as we get closer to the premiere.

How the mighty haters have fallen. I've only seen a fraction of the ones who are still determined to call all of the good news for this movie "fake new". I mean, so original right. So lets keep the love coming and talk about the numbers shall we?

According to Boxofficemojo.com Opening Weekend numbers, Captain Marvel ranks 18th on the list at $153 million box office. Where did it rank number one? It's the first Marvel character, that has never been featured in another film in the cinematic universe, to make this amount of money. Black Panther was in Captain America Civil War so, don't count. Deadpool comes the closest, but that's it. Why is this? Well, this movie comes after Avengers Infinity Wars and before Avengers Endgame, no you don't have to see Captain Marvel to know what's going to happen but the clever thing about it is that this film answers a lot of questions that were just left unanswered or not ventured into that much. I'm sure this was always the plan and it was extremely entertaining to see.

In the end, the heroes triumphant and the future of comic book films is bright. One of the greatest things about Captain Marvel is how much is showed honor to Stan Lee. If you're a cryer, prepare yourself.

Worst Movies Of 2018 I Never Watched

2018 has been hit with a lot of reviews of what people call the "worst of the worst". I decided to take a different approach. When I go to a movie I'm hoping to be entertained. If I think I will not enjoy it, I usually do not waste my time. So there are a ton of films that came out in year of 2018 that simply passed on and have not regretted it. I saved a lot of time and money focusing on not watching something I know I won't enjoy. I'm not a fan of self destruction of my brain.

This then came becoming a list of movies that I did not see that to the ones who did suffer through became the worst films of the year. So I also went back and looked up their box office results to list them in the order of their floppiness.

There is a chance for some of these films. Of course I will eventually see Jurassic World FK and Sparrow interest me but for the most part this list is a all out pass for me. 

Don't Breathe Makes A Second Appearance At Number One

With Don’t Breathe hitting number one two weeks in a row, what does this mean for the horror genre?

This has been a great year for horror films. Not since the late 80’s and early 90’s with the Revolution of the campy slasher flix have we seen this type of motivation. The horror genre is not nor has it ever died. This is not a resurrection but yet a energization. Now horror is being taken more seriously by producers and quality of writing and direction have amped up. Not that we have to have to self Oscar actors in these films, yet we are going low budget, great execution and pulling in an outstanding haul of gross profits. The audience over all is happy. In the months before we reach this year’s Halloween people are enjoying themselves in the genre.

The Conjuring 2, with a forty million dollar budget was able to bring in over three hundred million dollars worldwide. The film is set for another spin off and sequel. We’ve found a new franchise to replace Paranormal Activity. Lights Out was impactful in many ways. The main way was that it was based on a video short that was adapted to an original screen play from the same developers. On a budget of less than five million dollars, Lights Out grossed over a hundred and twenty.

Upcoming films like When the Bough Breaks and Boo! A Madea Halloween, set to attract a different type of audience, its apparent, to me, that horror is all the rave this year and for the years to come. I myself will be checking out a suggested film by the Queen of Collider, Perry Nemiroff called Nina Forever. A film about a man who loses his girlfriend, that then sees her reappear in his bed every time he tries to become intimate with his new girlfriend.

The Blair Witch is returning to theaters and expected to also hit hard with audiences. This is particularly a great time to be a horror film fan. Sit back enjoy the scares and prepare yourself for more.

It's official Zootopia is one of 26 movies in the world to cross the billion dollar box office mark. It's the second film this year and Disney now accounts for 11 out of 26.

This movie was fun for all ages. May be scary for some younger views. My five year old had to cover his eyes once. Be aware.

Overall great movie.

Angry Birds DeThrones Captain America

Angry Birds was able to take the top spot from Captain America Civil War. Brad Brevett of Box Office Mojo reports that Civil War was able to cross the One Billion dollar mark this week with over $35 Million this weekend as Angry Birds pulls in $55 Million for the number one position.

So I was wrong, Apocalypse won't be the one to bring down the Captain but I won't be suprised if Captain America still isn't in second place next week. This week Angry Birds is number one, Captian America: Civil War at two, Neighbors 2 pulls in at third, The Nice Guys takes the fourth spot and The Jungle Book holds at number five.

Movie News: Minions Number One In Box office

As I predicted and still couldn't imaging that much of an intake. $400 Million worldwide.

Jurassic World in second place and Disney/Pixar holding strong in third.



It takes a giant minion to knock out the attack of Prat. Don't feel bad Disney, Inside was better.

Entourage Movie Review: Same Old Boys with New Toys and more Drama

May Have To Jerk It!

You know you're in a bro movie when that's the first piece of dialog. delivered by Kevin Dillon (Johnny "Drama" Chase). The movie theater I was in only had me and three other people at 3 pm, bad omen?  I was a tad nervous to see that there was only three people in the theater, but then again, it was 3pm and I forgot the movie came out on Wednesday. I'm more afraid the movie wouldn't feel like the show or only felt like the TV show and not translate to the viewer new to the crew. by the time i saw my first naked lady just walking around just for the sake of, lets call it "art", all that went away. Let's do this!

Vince Got Married?Wow.

They really played the here's what we've been up to game right in the beginning, especially with Adrian Grenier (Vincent Chase). Some stuff I forgot about others brought me back to some of my favorite episodes. For the most part it was just filler so the none TV show watchers wouldn't be confused when certain people from the past made references. I thought it was quick and painless and made the movie move along so we could get into the meat of things.

Vince still searching for more out of life.

Just like every episode the main man want more. This time to be a director and take his art to the next level. Johnny drama still trying to get the world to take him seriously as an actor, while Kevin Connolly (Eric Murphy) is trying not to fall in love with the next woman he's dating after Sloan or the woman after than, typical.  Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), he's pretty much made it to the next level but won't tell anyone how high that level is, the best part of the movie.

King living under queens rules

Arie Gold is now the King. At first he seems calmer and more in control of his anger. Doesn't take too long to get the classic ranting of a crazy boss to remind you he'll always be a jerk and we'll always love him for doing it so well. 

Traditional opener

The movie kicked off with the theme song of the show. This time it showed parts of Hollywood with the names of the stars within key landmarks. It was a new take, but still fit with the traditional opener.

Finally got to see Viking Quest footage.

I've seen Johnny Drama in the costume but to see actual footage of Viking Quest, and  Johnny's Banana's was so awesome. It felt right. I was so curious what that stuff looked like. Even though it was just a taste I'm sure it was giving the fans what they probably was asking for even if it wasn't out loud. 

 
Sloane gone for six months

Eric and Sloane separated and preggers. Didn't like that but the explanation of why made me think "Damn Eric, didn't think you had it in you. He's too much of a nice guy to be that much of a jerk". I know they've had rocky roads but Sloane and Eric was a great fit. I could have had this done with them not having any of the drama but it didn't take me out of the story. It turned out to be one of the best ones. Especially when Eric has the biggest scare of his life happen to any man.

Stress Balls

We're bringing everything back. Even the theropy sessions in the marriage counseling with the Golds. You guys that watched the show know how much of a treat this was each and every time. This time we learn that pills to keep your anger in check keep you going all night long with the wife. Why are they still in need of theropy?

This Party Was Starting To Get Boring

Rhonda playing herself was a much better improvement than the performance she gave us in Furious 7. She was actually funny. The 60 second line was a killer. I've never seen her fight in UFC but if what she did to Turtle is any indication, Don't Mess With Rhonda!

Haely Joel Osment played  Travis McCredle son of Larsen played by Billy Bob Thorton. He worked out as the protagonist, although I don't know if his Texas accent really worked for me. It was good seeing in a film again. I know he took some time off and people said his career was over but I'm thinking comedy is going to be his nitch. I'm now curious to check out his other role in the film Sex Ed. He killed during the big party where Vince was going to give an advance screening of this movie. I thought that is a nice house that Vince has now. Surprised to find out it belong to Turtle. How much money does that guy have? All the celebs were there from Andrew Dice Clay to Jon Favreau. Evil Bob Saggot returns wanting Vince to do him a favor by playing interference for these two hot girls who say they went to school with his daughter, middle school. Of course they want to have sex with him. Maybe Saggot is not feeling well because I thought his character from the show would have done it.

I won't go any further. This movie was totally worth the money for a true Entourage fan. Its basically a remember these TV and movie stars who once appeared on the show kind of movie but it does still deliver a fun story. It won't be for everyone but it will defiantly not disappoint any fan of the show. It may even bring in enough to constitute a sequel. I'm just saying if we can get two Sex In The City's we can get a trilogy of this awesome group of guys and the tell of the girls they always get to bang. 

Go See It Bro's! 

Oh. . .Can someone tell me what I missed. I saw Common make an appearance in the movie but I didn't get why he needed that dramatic close up.

Top Five Movies of The Week May 29-31

May 29-31, 2015

As I predicted, San Andreas reigns supreme at the box office bringing in a total of $53,215,000 and counting. More than three times the amount the second place Pitch Perfect 2 brings to the box office with a respectable $14,381,000 to hold on to the number two spot in its third week. This was a 53.3% drop from the week before. Tomorrowland had a bigger fall from grace from the first spot to the third with only $13,803,000 bringing its total to just over 60 million. Disney has to be disappointed with these numbers. Last week the film staring George Clooney was at the number one spot but has only grossed a total of 63 million domestically in two weeks on a $190 Million budget. Luckily Disney's Cash Cow is still bringing home the bacon with over $400 million domestic and almost $900 million foreign with a whopping total of $1,321,270,000 (billion), Avengers: Age of Ultron still holding on at number five. This is the fifth week in the box office for the Marvel blockbuster and its still making a statement. I may have to see it again.

Breaking down the rest of the list.

Aloha says hello and goodbye with a mediocre entrance at number six with only $10,000,000 open. Poltergeist doesn't seem to be building any kind of momentum. I think they should have released that one in October. After that you have Far from the Madding Crowd, Hot Pursuit and Home rounds out the eighth, ninth, and tenth spot all bringing in less than $1.5 million. Furious 7 finally falls from the top ten after nine weeks.

Next week be on the look out for Incidious 3, Spy and The Enterouge movie.

My pick is Incidious 3. As much as I love Enterouge I got to go with a proven franchise.

Did Fox & Marvel Master Mind How Quick Silver and Scarlet Which Would Be Used?

After Processing The Age Of Ultron . . .

I'd have to say that it was an amazing movie. Once again, Josh Weadon was able to bring a comic book to life. To me this was the most action packed comic book movie ever created. I'd still give Captain America: Winter Soldier the edge victory on how well the action and story balanced but this by far was a bigger movie. People are asking if I beleive it to be better than the first Avengers and its a hard question to answer. The Avengers was a first in its kind. A movie going experience after years of careful master minding. The Age of Ultron was its sequel that built upon that foundation.

Over all, the storylines were both excellent and intertaining. Both have their weaknesses, for example, the ending of Avengers (spoiler alert) when the big boss was defeated all the other aliens bit the dust. That's been done to death and it made no sense in a movie with this much on the line. You might as well called that the two meter wide week spot on th Death Star. I mean seriously, plug that damn hole up before Luke comes to use the force on you and blows up your hard work.

Ultron's weakness was the under usage of key characters that they used so well in the first movie to make up for failing other characters in the second movie. Hulk never really had that "Puny God" moment like he had with Loki in the first Avengers. He could have been a key factor in the fight against Ultron and when you finally had that moment, though funny, you got a off camera scene with the Hulk going after Ultron and Ultron giving another funny line. The scene worked for me but I felt that Hulk could have caused more problems to Ultron than the Avengers were willing to allow.

This may have all been done to make up for the lack of Hawkeye and Black Widow. These two characters were given a lot more dept and that was great but a lot of that dept could have been given to Ultron whom we just had to accept was completed and corrupted in a blink of an eye, then boom, here's your villian. I wish there were more history to Ultrons programming. Did Hank Pimm help Tony's dad with the concept of an Ultron project. If that's the case, I hope we learn that in Antman but I'd love it if we got a quick little soundbite where Tony would have at least said Pimm's name to give the credit of Ultrons design the man comic book readers know made Ultron originally.

This could have been great chance to give a nod to the next movie in line. They did it in Winter soldier for Dr. Strange. I saw no harm in it for Antman.

That's mostly how I came away from the movie. Ultimately it was amazing. I will be seeing it again in IMAX. That's a must. I have to give it a 8.5 out of 10. This movie fired on all cylinders and we finally got another awesome villain so the berdain doesn't stay all on Loki's sholdiers. Let hope Ultron and Loki team up one day.

In closing, the Vision was well exicuted character. The way we came to totally trust him as a team member was like a sniper shot that hit the target from record distance. Great writting and extremly suttle. Bravo. This leads me to how I originally felt about the transition to the new team from the old. I was against it at first. I know it will be alot of growing pains seeing some of the original roster leave to inevitably being recast. After seeing how well Scarlet Witch and Quick Sivler gelled with the team and having Vision bring a new element to the equation that felt so natural, I now have great expectations for the upcoming films.

I do have a theory. Some know that Marvel Studios and Fox have a shared contract for the Quick Silver and Scarlet Witch characters. (spoiler alert!!!!) Since Quicksilver was only used in X-Men Day's of Future Past, Scarlet being a little girl. This, I beleive because of Sivler's powers made him age a bit faster, hince the immaturity. Marvel used both characters but killed off QuickSilver. Could Fox and Marvel come to an agreement that one company would mainly use Scarlet and the other company uses Silver? This is what I beleive the deal will be for the most part but each company can use the characters as many times as they want. Especially if they become more popular.  Money always talks.
